Linking to journals owned by UWSP

Add “UWSP” to your “Google Scholar Preferences” to get access to journal articles through our library subscriptions. 

• On the Google Scholar (http://scholar.google.com) page click on Scholar Preferences

• Search for Stevens Point in the Library Links search tool

• Select University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Library (Find It!)

• Save your preferences

Google Scholar links (especially if you click on the title of the journal article and go directly to the publisher website) may ask you to pay for articles. Instead of choosing this option, click on the Find It!link to discover UWSP's alternatives.

Exporting to Citation Software

• In the Preference scroll down to the Bibliography Manager section
• Select the Radio button to Show links to import citations into your selected Citation Software (EndNote, Refworks, etc)
• Save your preferences and when searching Google Scholar each result will include a link to Import the citation into the specified citation format.

Google Scholar may recommend books and articles that are not available at UWSP. To find books in another UW library, use Universal Borrowing (UB) or use Interlibrary Loan for articles and books not available via UB. Google Scholar is a great place to start your research, but it does not search many in-depth databases that are available via our library.  So for additional research, visit the Library's home page or stop by!
