* Library Departments and Areas Reports. The library faculty coordinator of each area will lead the discussion and prepare the statement with input from classified and academic staff or other library faculty working in the area. Each department or area would provide a statement including the following (if applicable to the area):
- Description of department, area, or service
- Who is served (including community use)
- Staffing -- Levels and numbers, sufficient to meet service needs, well-qualified and trained?
- Facilities – adequacy for services
- Technology
- Supporting statistics – last 5 years – no need to duplicate stats in appendices
- Discussion of current assessment activities of the unit (Survey or focus groups could be initiated within the self-study time frame to flesh out assessment—work with survey group)
- Special projects underway or major changes being implemented
- Goals or desired directions of the unit
- SWOT (Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats) analysis of department or area
- SWOT analysis of the Library
**Budget and Facilities reports and SWOT analysis would be prepared by the Library Director in collaboration with other library faculty and staff.

Analysis of Library Services and Facilities. Following this input from departments and following a SWOT brainstorming session with the full Library staff, the SWOT analysis team would summarize the individual reports and complete a SWOT analysis of library services and facilities.
