For most of the UW campuses, the majority of accessibility errors (within the "campus" data sets) pertained to the lack of alternative text for images. Exceptions were the web pages at the UW-La Crosse (13%), the UW-Stevens Point (42%), and the UW-Madison (46%), where less than 50% of the errors were of this type. The highest percentages were found at the UW-Parkside and the UW-Stout, where 100% and 98%, respectively, of all accessibility errors were of this type.
For most of the UW campuses, second in relative frequency was the lack of alternative text for hot spots on client-side image maps. This type of error occurred the most frequently at the UW-La Crosse (72%). It did not occur at all at the Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Parkside and Stout campuses (within the "campus" data set).
With 46%, the relatively frequency of missing frame titles at the UW-Oshkosh was exceptionally high--in comparison to the "campus" pages at other UW institutions. Among the "campus" pages at the UW-Milwaukee, the following two errors constituted a comparatively high proportion of the accessibility problems: lack of alternative content for scripts containing important information (20%) and lack of alternative text for image submit buttons (20%).
