The Area Research Center Collection

The Area Research Center Network (ARC) is composed of 14 sites located throughout the State of Wisconsin. Each ARC serves and houses the records for a specific geographic area. The UWSP Archives serves a nine county area that includes Adams, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Portage, Waupaca, Waushara, and Wood. Our ARC has public records including tax rolls, naturalization records (see Tips for Searching Naturalization Records), state and federal censuses, and pre-1907 birth, death and marriage records. Other types of ARC materials located here include corporate records, personal papers, oral histories.

Many types of collections can be transferred from other campus ARC's.  Please contact us or your local ARC for assistance.
