02/2006 (by Yan Liao)
As JSTOR has moving walls for most of their e-journals, it is necessary to change the holdings statement in Voyager each year to reflect the expansion in their full-text availability.
While the serial cataloger (Yan Liao) catalogs new e-journal titles from JSTOR and other sources, Kathy Wrycza updates the JSTOR holdings in January each year.
In the JSTOR database:
Locate the title by browsing and go to its information page for its full-text availability.
In Voyager:
Find the title. Retrieve the holdings record (MFHD) for the JSTOR e-journal. Update the holdings statement in the 866 field according to the JSTOR database.
Leave all delimiters in the 852 and 866 fields blank. If there is a ‡z note in the 866 (typically it will say “‡z from JSTOR”), leave as is.
Examples of the MFHDs:
852 _ _ ‡b wwwjstor
866 _ _ ‡a Vol. 1 (1898)-v. 105 (2001)
2. 852 _ _ ‡b wwwjstor
866 _ _ ‡a No. 1 (1898)-no. 105 (2001) ‡z from JSTOR
