The University
Library's Foundation Collection is one of over two hundred
collections affiliated with the Foundation
Center in New York. The Foundation Center's mission is to "strengthen the
non-profit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy." Established
in 1956, the Foundation Center is the nation's leading authority on
institutional philanthropy. The Foundation Center resources include current and
comprehensive information about foundations, corporate and federal funding
agencies, fundraising for non-profit organizations, and proposal writing.
The Foundation Collection provides free access to its resources and is open to the public. To ensure that the collection is available to everyone, the Library does not circulate these materials, but photocopies can be made for 10 cents per page. Our databases are licensed to be used in the Library only. The collection is located in the Reference Room.
Computers are available for patrons in the Reference Room to search the foundation databases.
Patrons can download and save information to a removable storage device or print the information for 10 cents per page.
The Foundation Collection is accessible during the hours of the Library.
You can search the Library Catalog for grant and foundation related resources. Print materials in the Foundation Collection include:
Directories of information regarding public, private, and corporate funding
