Plans for Library Café being discussed. 

Preliminary plans for a library café are underway.  With the UC closing next year for renovation and the library will be one of the sites available for students to purchase food and drink.  The library and student services are currently making plans to install the new café in the room currently housing the afterhours study area during the summer of 2006 and plans are to be open for business by the fall semester.  Coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches, cookies, salads and other portable items will be among the offerings in the new café.  Vending machines are being installed in the after hours study area in preparation for the new café.  The Café will not initially be open all hours that the library is open but the after hours area will continue to be open current operating hours.
