Focus
on Energy, Wisconsin’s statewide energy efficiency and renewable energy program,
has provided a $400 grant to the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education
(WCEE)
Resources Library (located on the 4th floor of the University Library) for
the purchase of renewable energy-related materials. This grant will help
the WCEE update its collection of books and videos on renewable energy topics.
The library will use the funds to purchase materials for children and adults.
Patrons can expect to see new materials on the shelves by June.
Since 1999, Focus on Energy has provided more than 70 public libraries across the state with grants for materials. The grants program is part of a broader Focus initiative to increase the public’s understanding of energy issues and renewable energy.
