Patricia
Paul was initiated into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi on April 19,
1998. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest, and most
prestigious of honor societies for students and faculty from all
disciplines. Pat, who joined the Library Faculty in 1969, was chosen for
her significant contributions to librarianship during her tenure at
UWSP. Among her many efforts were her service as Head of the Cataloging
Dept. where she planned and designed the retrospective conversion
project, which paved the way for the revolution in the use of technology
in the University Library. As well, she served as Automation Project
manager from 1985-1990, where she was responsible for the planning,
coordination, evaluation, and administration of LS/2000. Her
contributions as Information Coordinator since 1994 have helped to keep
us sane and on-track as we are buffeted by the winds of technological
change.
