Portage County Public Library

Our Vision: a learning place for a diverse community, inspiring people of all
ages with the love of reading and learning, advancing the pursuit of
knowledge, and enhancing the quality of life for all who use the library. The
library serves as a community meeting place and we especially recognize our
responsibility to serve as a place for children to discover the joy of reading and
the value of learning.

	Spring Library hours Portage County Public Library will be closed at all locations on Sunday, May 13, for the Mothers Day holiday. The libraries will resume regular hours on Monday, May 14. Summer Hours will begin Sunday May 27, 2012

	PCPL's subscription to the database Ref USA is not being renewed. It has been replaced with AtoZdatabases.
YouTube video demonstrates transfer of ebooks to an ereader	More and more people are turning to handheld portable devices to augment their recreational and professional reading, but it’s not always immediately clear how to get that electronic file onto your device of choice. To help answer some of these questions for devices like a Nook or Kobo (and others), invest four minutes and watch a new video tutorial on the SCLS YouTube Channel. Using Your Barnes and Noble Nook ® to read ebooks that you have borrowed from the library using OverDrive. eBooks on OverDrive. (Adobe Reader is needed to view these files.)
