STORYTIME
Our goal is to provide a pleasant
introductory experience for children 18 months-5 years to the library. This program is a flexible
one and will include a variety of activities, stories, fingerplays,
flannelboards, songs, and puppets.
Through Storytimes, we hope to:

the best of children's literature and illustrations
wIntroduce
the library and its services to children and
families.
wMake
lifelong readers of our children.
wPromote
reading aloud at home by parents and caregivers.
wEncourage
language development.
SCHEDULE:
We have 6 week sessions starting in
September thru April.
Registration is required. Please call
us at 346-1549 for more
information and registration. During
the summer months we
have weekly storytimes as part of the
Summer Library
Program. No registration is required
in the summer.
ATTENDING STORYTIME:
wPlease
be on time.
wBe
attentive. You are there to help your child get the most
from the sessions. Please visit with your adult friends
another time.
wJoin
in doing the fingerplays and songs and listening to the
stories.
Infant Storytime
Infant Storytime is for infants 0-18 months. The purpose is
to assist parents and to help in the development of
pre-reading and language
skills. It is never too early to
begin reading to your children.
Infant Storytime is held monthly from
September to April.
