Portage County Public Library

Our Vision: a learning place for a diverse community, inspiring people of all
ages with the love of reading and learning, advancing the pursuit of
knowledge, and enhancing the quality of life for all who use the library. The
library serves as a community meeting place and we especially recognize our
responsibility to serve as a place for children to discover the joy of reading and
the value of learning.

	Fall-Winter Library hours  Summer Hours will begin Sunday May 24, 2009
Book Signings	Monday, June 8, 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Pinery Room, Neillsville author, Mark A. Wilson, will offer a Book Signing on two of his books: The Amazing Gift From the Woods and The Legend of Crawley Creek.  Wilson will briefly discuss and read segments from each book.  Copies of the books will be available for sale.

	Under Executive Order # 278, any employer receiving funds from the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) is required to list job openings on http://JobCenterOfWisconsin.com,  the Internet site operated by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD).  The Job Center of Wisconsin employment website is averaging 500,000 visits per day.
