The primary purpose of the Library Interchange Network is the
maintenance of a computerized cataloging, circulation and public access
system for public library materials. The shared catalog is called
LINKcat, and at the time of this writing it holds information on about
1.9 million items with over 540,000 different titles in print,
audiotape, videotape, compact disc and other formats.
