"Monkey" Sculpture on Hainan Island, China

On Sept. 9, 2006, Robert Leung brought the following imitation/adaptation of Rheinhold's Monkey to my attention. Located in a park on Hainan Island, China, this is the only "Philosophizing Monkey" sculpture known to me to be placed outdoors. It is reported to stand between 5 and 10 feet tall. Note the misspelling of Darwin's name: "Darwen."
