Rheinhold's Monkey Bronze (Hamburg, Germany; heirloom owned by a relative of Hugo Rheinhold)

Height of bronze without base: ca. 16.5 cm (with base: ca. 18 cm). The patina is dark brown with a tan colored skull. Foundry markings: Aktien Ges. vorm. H. Gladenbeck & Sohn. Round red marble base (?? cm in diameter and ? cm thick).

 

This is the medium-sized "monkey" version of Gladenbeck's line of production (see the Gladenbeck Catalog, Nr. 1193).
