Graduate Students: Thesis/Dissertation Submission and Binding

Graduate students are required to submit an electronic copy of their thesis or dissertation to the UWSP Libraries. To facilitate this, students should submit their thesis or dissertation, along with a completed signature page from their graduate committee, to ProQuest

Traditional publishing is free. However, ProQuest charges for optional services such as binding, enhanced copyright protection, and open access.

  • TipDo not pay for ProQuest open access. Upon consent, your thesis or dissertation will be published open access in MINDS@UW institutional repository for free. See the "Online Access" section below. 

UWSP Libraries will notify your adviser and academic department when the submission is complete. Graduates will receive confirmation from ProQuest. 

 

Binding

A bound copy of the thesis or dissertation will be placed in the UWSP Libraries permanent print collection at no cost to the student. Graduates may purchase additional bound copies from ProQuest or other printers such as: 

 

Online Access

With the author's permission, an electronic copy of the thesis or dissertation will be placed in the UWSP Libraries catalog Search@UW and in the Universities of Wisconsin institutional repository MINDS@UW. Students may embargo or opt out of online access.
